On November 24, 1963, a monument to the Chinese martyrs was set up in the Hanaoka Mine in Japan. There are 516 martyrs engraved on the monument, all Chinese soldiers and laborers killed by the Japanese authorities at Hanaoka Mine in Japan during the war of resistance against Japan.
