The expression of p53 and c-erbB-2 gene proteins in 92 paraffin-embedded specimens of gastric cancer was studied by immunohistochemical ABC method. The results showed that the positive rates of p53 and c-erbB-2 protein expression in gastric cancer were 38.0% and 14.1%, respectively; the expression of p53 was mainly located in the nucleus, while the expression of c-erbB-2 was mainly located in the cell membrane, p53 and There was no significant relationship between the expression of c-erbB-2 and the gender, age, primary tumor site, lymph node and distant metastasis, tumor stage, pathological type, and grade of gastric cancer. The survival time of patients with p53-positive gastric cancer was significantly lower than that of p53-negative patients. The expression of c-erbB-2 was not associated with the survival of gastric cancer patients. There was no correlation between the positive expression of p53 and c-erbB-2. The positive results of 5 cases of p53 and c-erbB-2 expression were very poor, suggesting that the abnormal expression of oncogenes has an auxiliary significance for the estimation of prognosis.
