I. Introduction When grinding workpieces on a surface grinder, many factories have had pop-up of workpieces. Such accidents not only damage the machine tool and the workpiece, but also affect the accuracy of the machine tool. It may also cause the wheel to be broken and endanger personal safety. This paper attempts to find out the mechanics reasons of ejecting workpieces when the work piece is clamped by the magnetic workbench through mechanics analysis, so as to explore the ways to prevent accidents and provide some theoretical basis for making the safe operation rules of the surface grinder.
