A survey by A.T. Kearney, GSM Association Wireless Intelligence and Machina Research, shows that by 2015, the global mobile industry revenue will grow from 1.5 trillion U.S. dollars in 2011 to 1.9 trillion U.S. dollars. The survey also predicts a significant increase in employment in the mobile industry. Currently, more than 8 million people worldwide work in mobile ecosystem companies and by the end of 2015, the mobile industry will provide about 10 million jobs. The strong and dynamic capabilities of the mobile industry are reflected in the transformation of adjacent industries such as education, healthcare, payments and transactions, transportation and utilities. There has never been any technology that connects the world so tightly together like mobile technology.
