玉米杂种优势的利用在生产上发挥了显著的增产效果。为了弄清玉米雄性不育性形成的机理,为培育新的不育系提供理论依据,我们以我院原玉米研究室的两个不育系为材料,比较了它们和保持系的一些生理生化特性。材料与方法试验材料为可_(36) 甲与133甲不育系及其相应的保持系可_(36)与133。在孕穗期与开花期选取不育系与保持系的雄花,用法测定过氧化氢酶活性,碘试法测定淀粉酶活性,纸上层析法分析游离氨基酸,法测定有机碳化物含量。还观察了花粉细胞的发育情况,用测微尺测量了花药的大小,计数了可育花粉数。
Utilization of corn heterosis in production has played a significant yield-increasing effect. In order to clarify the formation mechanism of maize male sterility and provide a theoretical basis for cultivating a new CMS, we compared two CMS lines of the former Maize Research Laboratory in our hospital with some physiological and biochemical characteristics characteristic. MATERIALS AND METHODS Materials tested were _ (36) A and 133 A CMS lines and their corresponding maintainer lines were _ (36) and 133. At the booting and flowering stage, male sterile lines and maintainer lines were selected to measure the activity of catalase, amylase activity by iodine test, free amino acid by paper chromatography, and the content of organic carbides. The development of pollen cells was also observed. The anther size was measured by micrometer and the number of fertile pollen was counted.
