10月17日,中国青年报披露了拆分中国电信和重组电信产业的最新消息,政府最高决策层已经批准了名单不详的6人小组所拟订的方案:将中国电信划分为南北两大公司,其北方部分(包括中国电信华北、东北和山东等地区10个省级子公司)整体划出,与现在的中国网通公司合并,成立新中国网通集团公司,其余省市电信公司组建为新的中国电信集团公司;同时中国联通和铁通合并,组建新的中国联通集团公司;中国移动公司和吉通合并,组建新的中国移动集团公司,云云。
On the 17th of October, China Youth Daily disclosed the latest news on the split of China Telecom and the reorganization of the telecom industry. The government’s top decision-making body has approved the proposal drawn up by the six-member group with an unknown list: dividing China Telecom into two major corporations, Its northern part (including 10 provincial-level subsidiaries of China Telecom in North China, Northeast China and Shandong) was overall drawn up and merged with the current China Netcom Company to form a new China Netcom Group Company. The remaining provincial and municipal telecommunication companies were formed as the new China Telecom Corporation; the same time, China Unicom and China Railcom merger, the formation of the new China Unicom Group; China Mobile and Jitong merger, the formation of the new China Mobile Group, and so on.
