Free-Free Formwork Construction Techniques Combine existing processes with materials in new ways to create non-repetitive, free-form cast-in-place concrete structures using reusable, digitally manufactured wax templates. Reusable wax templates save both material and energy compared to swollen polystyrene blocks that are abrasive disposable applications or curved sheets that have low curvature limits such as plywood. Create a robot-driven free-form mold to form a re-melted wax mold that will be placed on site as a concrete formwork. This process can be supplemented by computer-aided manufacturing to improve the complex shapes created by complex aesthetic applications. This technology enables complex, free-geometry modern architectural products to be manufactured using highly optimized designs that are optimized for material consumption, energy efficiency and availability.
