孩子是自尊和好胜的,他们希望自己在生活、学习和做各种活动中取得成绩的时候,能受到家长的肯定和表扬。孩子的努力被承认,自尊需要得到了满足,就会萌生欣慰、幸福的内心体验,这种情绪体验能进一步增强孩子的信心和进取心,激发孩子采取更加积极的行动,去争取更大的成绩。因此,做家长的应善于发现孩子身上的闪光点,使之不断发扬光大,从而全面发展。 当孩子在一方面或几方面取得较为明显的进步(如孩子入队、入团、受到奖励或被评为“三好学生”)时,家长就应给予肯定性的表扬或物质奖励以示勉励,让孩子的闪光点越来越灿烂。
