Objective To investigate the epidemiological characteristics of other infectious diarrhea in Fujian from 2005 to 2014 and provide a scientific basis for the prediction of the disease and the formulation of prevention and control strategies. Methods A descriptive analysis of the data of other infectious diarrhea cases reported by the Chinese Disease Control and Prevention Information System from 2005 to 2014 by medical and health institutions in Fujian Province. Results The incidence of other infectious diarrheal diseases was 53.89 / 100 000 in Fujian province from 2005 to 2014, showing an overall trend of rapid increase (Z = 102.10, P <0.01). The ratio of base to base increased year by year (r = 0.90, P <0.01). 10 to December peak incidence, accounting for 39.76%. The incidence rates of Xiamen, Zhangzhou, Xiamen and Ningde were 144.25, 108.23 and 65.71, respectively, with Xiamen decreasing overall (Z = -20.45, P <0.01). The incidence of males (64.34 / 100000) was significantly higher than that of females (43.99 / 100000) (P <0.01). The highest incidence was 550.58 / 100000 in the 0 ~ group and the incidence was 64.32%. The morbidity ratio between urban and rural areas was 0.29: 1, which was 25.74 / 100000 and 89.07 / 100000 respectively. Diaspora most incidence, accounting for 63.35%. The ratio of laboratory diagnosis to clinical diagnosis was 0.45:1, which showed a rapid increase (Z = 69.20, P <0.01). Conclusions The incidence of other infectious diarrheal diseases in Fujian Province is on the rise. The incidence of some diarrheal diseases in Fujian Province is rising rapidly. Multiple rural areas and scattered diasporas are the most frequent groups in Fujian Province. The proportion of laboratory confirmed cases has been increased.
