锻模大多采用合金钢整体制造,也有用45钢及45Γ2中碳锰钢为本体,以手工电弧焊等方法在型窝部分堆焊一层5XHM或5XHCB等合金钢。用手工电弧焊堆焊新的锻模,不但制造周期很长,特别是操作者如果不能很好的掌握堆焊技术,在堆焊层极易产生气孔、夹渣等缺陷,严重影响锻模的使用寿命。为了缩短锻模的生产周期和提高堆焊质量,我们采用合金钢板极进行锻模的电流堆焊,经过几个月来的试验,已初步获得良好效果,目前准备正式运用于生产中。锻模本体是用45号钢锻制成的,板极为8 3合金
