《大公报》文艺副刊作为京津冀报业中国现代长篇小说传播和接受的重要平台,实现了现代长篇小说传播接受由保守、单一到审美、开放,由同人、狭窄到独立、丰富、多元的现代转型。《文学副刊》开启了保守知识分子与新文学之间的对话新路,《文艺副刊》则在京派的文学趣味和自由主义知识分子的立场下,以及时准确的传播策略,以文学的审美性与文学的丰富性为视阈,在注重独立批评和审美批评的接受生态下,着力打开中国现代长篇小说的内在审美构成和意义潜势,对中国现代长篇小说这一文体由幼稚走向成熟、由传统走向现代起到了重要的推进作用。
