There is a different understanding of whether tectonic uplift forms abnormally high pressure or abnormally low pressure. The results show that the tem- perature rise caused by tectonic uplift leads to a significant drop in fluid pressure and the liquid pressure is reduced to hydrostatic pressure below the new depth; tectonic uplift itself tends to produce abnormal low pressure instead of abnormally high pressure; The conclusion that an uplift can produce abnormally high pressures in the formation is an impression that is inconsistent with the principles of thermodynamics and geology. Examples of exploration can prove this. The abnormal high pressure in the Kela-2 gas field is not caused by tectonic uplift, but mainly due to tectonic extrusion.
