Objective]To establish an HPLC method for fingerprint of Bidens genus plants,for distinguishing five species of this genus.[Methods]Ten batches of Bidens genus medicinal materials were used for HPLC analysis.The chromatic parameters were as follows:Kromasil C18(4.6 mm×250 mm,5μm)as chromatic column,absolute methanol-0.1%phosphoric acid as mobile phase(gradient dilution),flowing speed at 1 mL/min,detection wavelength at 290 nm,column temperature at 30℃and injection amount of 10μL.[Results]The HPLC fingerprint for discriminating Bidens genus plants was established by using similarity software analysis.The medicinal materials tested were classified into five categories by primary ingredient analysis and phylogenetic analysis.[Conclusion]This method is simple,stable,repeatable and feasible,and it can well separate most of the chemical ingredients,which provides scientific and efficient method for discriminating Bidens genus medicinal materials.
