元认知是个体对自己的认知加工过程的自我觉察、自我反省、自我评价与自我调节。元认知策略是关于认知过程的知识以及通过计划、监控和评价等过程进行调整的行为。外语教学涉及听、说、读、写四部分,元认知策略在外语教学四部分中作用突出。
Metacognition is an individual’s self-awareness, self-examination, self-evaluation and self-regulation of his cognitive process. Metacognitive strategy is the knowledge of cognitive process and the process of adjustment through planning, monitoring and evaluation. Foreign language teaching involves listening, speaking, reading and writing. Metacognitive strategies play a prominent role in the four parts of foreign language teaching.
