Cell photometry DNA analysis provides a reliable prognostic indicator for gastric cancer patients. DNA with a narrow distribution of DNA has a low degree of malignancy, and widely scattered DNA distribution is associated with a high degree of malignancy. Even if tumors with high ploidy are shown in the early stage of cancer, their prognosis is not good, so effective adjuvant chemotherapy is necessary to prolong the patient’s life. The authors determined the relationship between the chemosensitivity of succinate dehydrogenase (SD) and the distribution of nuclear DNA in patients with advanced gastric cancer, in order to explain whether the hyperploid DNA gastric cancer tissue is sensitive to antitumor drugs. 41 cases of advanced gastric cancer patients who have not been treated with radiotherapy or chemotherapy and have undergone surgery are selected for the experiment and measured by SD inhibition test.
