It takes only 10 minutes to detect residual pesticides using the infrared system. Japan’s Nagano Prefecture Institute of Rural Industries has developed a system that uses infrared rays to measure pesticide residues in vegetables in about 10 minutes and is working to bring this epoch-making system into operation by the following year.
