The Beijing Palace Museum started an exhibition to display the ancient Chinese kilns on October 10, 2005. On display are more than 140 model kilns from 17 provinces, totaling about 30,000 pieces. There is an array of models marked with Eastern Han right down to the Qing Dynasty, especially those of the Tang and Yuan Dynasties. Some models can be compared with objects unearthed and those that have been passed on. Some models cannot be found among those unearthed or passed on from the past.
