This display combines two visible (red and green) LEDs made of a p-n-p-n junction four-layer structure. It has dynamic storage and photo-sensitive properties, making it possible to “write” and “erase” with a stylus. As shown in Figure 1, two different types of diodes are placed side-to-side on one header to form a two-color visible LED lamp. One diode is a GaAs infrared LED, coated with a special phosphorescent material on its surface that turns infrared light into green light (930mμ and 540mμ). The other diode is a GaAlAs red LED (680mμ). This display panel is composed of 14 × 15LED matrix cells.
