内质网是蛋白质修饰、折叠和钙储存的场所。内质网中钙离子紊乱和未折叠蛋白质蓄积,可引发内质网应激,发生具有保护作用的未折叠蛋白反应。而长期过强的内质网应激可诱导细胞凋亡。许多眼科疾病的发生发展与内质网应激过程相关,例如:年龄相关性黄斑变性、视网膜色素变性、糖尿病视网膜病变、青光眼及白内障等。本文主要将近年来与内质网应激相关的眼科疾病的研究作一综述。
The endoplasmic reticulum is a site of protein modification, folding and calcium storage. Endoplasmic reticulum calcium disorder and unfolded protein accumulation, can cause endoplasmic reticulum stress, the occurrence of a protective effect of unfolded protein reaction. Long-term endoplasmic reticulum stress can induce apoptosis. Many ophthalmic diseases are associated with endoplasmic reticulum stress, such as age-related macular degeneration, retinitis pigmentosa, diabetic retinopathy, glaucoma and cataracts. This review summarizes the recent studies on ophthalmic diseases related to endoplasmic reticulum stress.
