许多职业病防治人员在工矿企业都曾遇到过这样一些工人,他们明知自己处在严重的尘毒危害中,却为了多挣点钱而置身体健康于不顾,盲目生产。这种状况在一些乡镇企业则更为普遍更为严重。造成这种状况的因素主要有两个方面,一方面是有些经营者盲目追求利润,不愿花钱增添劳动防护设备;也有些是对职业危害和劳动卫生知识茫然无知,这主要是乡镇企业,而且这些企业所从事的大多是一些大企业所转嫁的尘毒危害严重或危险性较大的行业。另一方面是工人,有些工人虽然知道自己从事的工作存在严重的职业危害,但在金钱的诱惑下,就把身体健康抛于脑后,在乡镇企业劳动的工人,却是另一种情况了,这部分工人原来是农民,根本就没有什么文化,更谈不上什么劳动卫生防护知识了。
