The United States of America’s Fairchild Jet Aircraft Company and Daimler-Benz Aerospace Corporation (DASA) reached an agreement on June 5, and Federer-Chald will acquire 80% of DASA’s shares in Dornier Aircraft Co., Ltd. DASA only retains 20% of the shares. This transaction enabled Federchild to have a stable series of passenger aircraft from 19 to 30 regional lines. It also marked DASA’s withdrawal from the regional jetliner and business jet markets after it abandoned the company at the beginning of the year. Dornier Aircraft Co., Ltd. is a subsidiary of Dornier, which owns 100% of its shares. In 1985, Daimler Benz bought Dornier Limited.
