McDonnell Douglas is currently investigating the launch of three new aircraft types in the next 18 months, including the MD-95 extension and the two MD-11-equipped new wings. The major event of McDonnell Douglas in the coming years was the delivery of the first MD-11ER and MD-95-30 first flight in 1998. Between 1996 and 2000, McDonnell hoped to launch a 3,150 km voyage in 1997, carrying 145 passengers at one level or MD-95-50 carrying 126 passengers at two levels.
