在湖南省宁远县九嶷山上,有一个8户人家的小瑶寨,坐落在海拔1882米的三分石旁,名叫枫木铺。这个瑶寨贫困、落后,几乎与世隔绝。党的十一届三中全会后,改革开放的春风吹进了小瑶寨。经过几年的艰苦奋斗,已经发生了惊人的变化。现在,吃粮不靠统销,用钱不要贷款;栋栋新房拔地而起,层层梯田布满山坡;建起了学校,第一次听到了孩子们悦耳的读书声;建起了电站,碾米不下山,照明不用枞膏火。收录机、电视机也陆续进了瑶寨,增添了文化生活的乐趣,拓宽了人们的视野,缩短了与外界的距离。随着生活水平的提高,环境卫生,家庭摆设也大大改观。人们笑逐颜开,赞不绝口地说:“我们这里的变化,靠党的政策好,也熔铸着县民委主任何中安的心血和汗水。”
