中华全国自然科学专门学会联合会在1952年8月25日发表声明称:美国战争贩子不老老实实地放弃无理的扣留朝中战俘的阴谋,无意使停战谈判最後达成协议,而穷凶极恶地在朝鲜北部滥炸和平城市、屠杀无辜居民;不让科学的成果,运用到和平建设和人类福利上,而窃取了科学的成果,向手无寸铁的朝鲜妇孺炫耀着所谓“军事压力”。我们全中国的自然科学工作者,对这无耻的暴行提出严重抗议。(原载1952年8月26日人民日报)
The All-China Federation of Natural Science Societies issued a statement on August 25, 1952, stating that the U.S. warmongers did not honestly abandon the conspiracy of unreasonably detaining DPRK prisoners of war and did not intend to finally reach an agreement on the cease-fire negotiations, but rather abhorrently spread North Korea Bombing peaceful cities and massacring innocent civilians; failing to apply the scientific achievements to peacebuilding and human welfare and stealing the fruits of science to show off the so-called “military pressure” toward defenseless Korean women and children.
