过去我们所看到的国外设计或我们自己所设计的锅炉房,计算蒸汽需要量总是按照各用户所提出的最大蒸汽需要量计算,然后再加上约占总需要量10~15%的管道损失及锅炉房自用蒸汽量。但是选择锅炉时,锅炉的蒸发量是按正常蒸发量计算。日久相沿,此种计算方法已成为常规惯例了。可是,为什么全厂需热量要按最大蒸发量计算,而选择锅炉时却按锅炉的正常蒸发量,而不按锅炉的最大蒸发量计算呢?这是值得商讨的问题。我认为蒸汽需要量既按最大需要量计算,那末锅炉的蒸发量亦应按最大蒸发量计算。同时,我建议某些锅炉的计算最大蒸发量应采用下列数值:
