阳宗海电厂球磨机原采用A_3或其它碳素锻钢球,ZGMn13衬板,每吨煤的钢材磨耗量为367.5克。仅此一项,全厂7台球磨机年需资金达37万多元。为了减少磨煤金属消耗量,1989年11月15日至1990年4月7日,在1号炉乙磨煤机上(250/390型)对江西电力附件厂制造的9SiMnCrφ60mm锻钢球和湖南电力机械厂制造的ZG42WCrMnSiRe衬板进行了磨煤试验,试验煤种为当地高水分褐煤。
