今年5月,一些新闻单位相继报道了发生在京石公路上的周志远案,一时轰动全国。新华社《经济参考》报在这个案件的报道中作了一点新的尝试。从实践结果看,这次尝试对探索如何使新闻报道真实、客观、公正、合法是有益的。 7月23日,《经济参考》报在一版刊登了北京市中级人民法院二审周志远的记者旁听记,在四版整版刊登了北京市人民检察院分院的二审意见、周志远的上诉书和辩护人的辩护词。采取这样的报道形式,用这么大的篇幅报道一个案件,对经济报纸来说是第一次,在全国性的大报中,也是少见的。
