随着多媒体教学的普及,很多的外语院系在视听课上为学生放映英文原版电影,用来提高学生的英文水平。但是据笔者对英语专业的学生进行的调查来看,观看电影并没有起到它应有的作用,也就是说对学生的英语水平的提高没有明显的实效。为了能够让电影发挥其作用,教师在教学中应注意哪些问题,如何利用电影提高教学质量等,都是值得深入的探讨的。 With the popularization of multimedia teaching, many foreign language departments display English original films for students in audio-visual classes to improve their English proficiency. However, according to the survey conducted by the author on English majors, watching movies did not play its due role, that is to say, there is no obvious effect on improving students’ English proficiency. In order to make the film play its role, teachers should pay attention to what issues in teaching, how to use movies to improve teaching quality, are worth exploring in depth.
