金荞麦别名万年荞、冷饭团、仙遗粮、铁拳头、赤地利、土茯苓、血娃娃、地榆、野荞根、苦荞、野荞等。为蓼科多年生草本植物,集中分布于云南全省海拔1800～2800米地区。野生资源多生长在荒野、草丛、渠旁、田埂、灌木林下等湿润环境中,中国是世界荞麦起源中心。荞麦营养价值极高,其防病治病、保健养颜等方面,是大米、玉米、小麦等作物所不及的,把金荞麦的籽粒加工成新特药物及保健食品前景广阔。
