我小的时候,街上有从事各种职业的人,有炼铁匠、染衣匠,也有伐木师、烧炭师,还有专门为盖房而铺基石的人。因为受地域和风土的影响,他们活计的内容总是随季节而变化。因此,那时候人们不用看日历便可以从这些匠工手里的活计中感受到季节的变迁。又因为这些匠工常年劳作和生活在我的周围,于是,自然而然地就给了我一个观察和接近他们的机会。我时而是透过自家的窗户,时而又是坐在临街的堂屋,饶有兴致地观望他们运用那双巧手做工的模样。有时看到盖房子的木工,我会
When I was a kid, there were people in the street who engaged in a variety of occupations, such as blacksmiths, dye-makers, loggers, charcoal-burners, and people who laid the cornerstone for building houses. Because of the geographical and terroir, the content of their activities always changes with the seasons. Therefore, at that time people can feel the seasonal changes from the livelihoods of these craftsmen without looking at the calendar. And because these craftsmen labored and lived around me all year long, I naturally gave me an opportunity to observe and approach them.
