Legend of the Tang Dynasty “Du Zichun” drawn from the Buddhist story, the theme has promulgated the “immortality is not easy,” the Taoist concept. The legend has a great influence on later generations and East Asian literature, arousing the imitation and adaptation of Japanese and Korean literati, and formed a group of distinctive “story groups of Du Zichun” within East Asia. Based on the theory of typology and the theory of “Cultural Filtering ”, this essay illustrates the story of “Du Zichun ’s story group ”, which shows the religious interest contained in the novels practiced in East Asia.
