控制爆破技术的兴起,不仅控制了爆破作用的破坏范围,缩小了爆破点周围产生危险的影响半径,增加了人们对爆破的安全感,更重要的是爆破施工进入人口稠密、房屋栉比的城市和工厂,为建筑物及附近岩石的爆破与拆迁、改造,和在抢救地震灾害受灾人员生命财产等方面开辟了广阔的新天地.但是控制爆破和其他爆破一样,都必须借助于炸药的爆炸能量来实现.由于炸药爆炸是一种激烈的化学反应,使得人们尽管采用了周到的安全防护措施,也难免偶然发生安全事故,尤其在城市人口稠密地区运送爆破材料时,受到严格的限制.
