高校档案馆作为高校的职能部门,应当依靠科学技术进行建设和发展。1.依靠科学技术是高校档案馆建设的需要。众所周知,20世纪是科学技术迅猛发展、教育作用日益重要的世纪。党的十五大报告明确指出:“发展教育和科学,是文化建设的基础工程。培养同现代化要求相适应的数以亿计高素质的劳动者和数以千万计的专门人才,发挥我国巨大人力资源的优势,关系21世纪社会主义的全局”。随着我国科技事业的迅猛发展,时代要求高校档案馆在做好档案的收集、整理、编目、鉴定、保护和档案信息资源开发工作,合理提供服务的基础上,还要积极建设符合现代化要求和规范的档案库,采用科学实用、先进的档案装具和技术,培养和造就一批适应现代化管理的档案专门人才,树立档案部门新形象。只有这样,才能为高校广大师生提供更便捷、更优质的服务。
