The question of “what is knowledge?” Is essentially a philosophical epistemological connotation that reveals the concept of knowledge, that is, the question of defining the term “knowledge” with an appropriate epistemology. Since the original meaning of “knowledge” refers to the subject (s) 's knowledge of a certain object (p), we can correct the problem by analyzing the necessary and sufficient condition of “S knows p”. Based on the analysis in this paper, the sufficient and necessary condition for S to know P is: S knows P if and only if (1) P is true; (2) S believes P; and (3) S believes that P proves to be reasonable. Starting from this sufficient and necessary condition, this article defines knowledge as “proved true belief”. The answer to the question “what is knowledge?” Is that knowledge is the true belief that is proven.
