The “Supramolecular Architecture” by Professor Xu Xiaojie, published by Science and Technology Literature Publishing House, is a monograph exploring the basic principles of supramolecular chemistry from the perspective of supramolecular architecture. Molecular aggregates formed by intermolecular interactions (non-covalent bonds) are called supramolecules. The concept of supramolecular chemistry was first proposed by Nobel laureate J.M. Lehn in his award-winning speech in 1987. Lehn had predicted that the birth and development of supramolecular chemistry will greatly stimulate the imagination and creativity of chemists. The development of supramolecular chemistry will certainly promote the entire chemistry discipline and its development in the field of physics, biology and materials science.
