穭稻的植株形态及谷粒特性与云南稻的两个粳型地方品种相近,彼此的杂交结实率高于它与籼型品种的杂交结实率。穭稻野生性状较强,在 F_1代中表现显性.F_1植株的花粉育性为1.15—82.1%,与粳型品种杂交时育性较高,又以穭稻为母本时育性高于其反交组合。穭稻种胚酯酶同工酶的酶带与云南稻的粳型品种有些相近。穭稻与云南稻四个品种的杂种 F_1PMC_s 减数分裂出现染色体异常,在粗线期主要是疏松配对(1.85—3.70%)倒位、易位环(1.85—3.36%),在终变期主要是产生单价体(1.04—3.21%)和四价体(2.02—2.99%),中期Ⅰ和后期Ⅰ主要是形成10Ⅱ+1Ⅳ(1.47—2.51%),单价体(0.42—2.66%),落后染色体(0.89—1.54%),染色体桥和断片(0.72—3.61%),还产生多价体,不等分离等,与粳型品种的 F_1染色体异常频率有略低趋势。穭稻可能是介于栽培稻与普通野生稻的稻种类型。
The plant morphology and grain characteristics of Hupo rice are similar to those of two japonica rice cultivars in Yunnan rice. The seed setting rate of Hudie rice is higher than that of indica rice. Paddy rice may be the type of rice between cultivated rice and common wild rice.
