步进梁传送钢卷需经过鞍座这一环节,钢卷在鞍座中可能会出现位置不正的情况(位置不正指的是钢卷轴线不在鞍座V形面的铅垂对称面上)。由于在钢卷到达鞍座之前其他正位措施的存在,当钢卷到达鞍座时,只会出现钢卷轴线与鞍座铅垂对称面的夹角很小的情况,因此通过合理设计鞍座V形面与水平面的夹角,就能够使钢卷依靠自身重力滑移到达正位位置。
