Headache after lumbar puncture (LP) is documented, which may be due to a decrease in CSF pressure due to leakage of cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) through the dura. However, we observed that many patients with viral meningitis showed significant improvement of symptoms after LP. This phenomenon is beyond any doubt. This article is intended to make a systematic assessment of this.
