烤烟为自花传粉作物,但随品种、栽培地区或开花期环境条件的不同,天然杂交率为1.3～12%,平均为6.11%。在良种繁殖工作中,若选择不当,常常造成品种的生物学混杂;由于烤烟种子细小,在采种、脱粒、贮藏、包装、运输、播种等工作中常常造成机械混杂。同时,烤烟的花期较长,若让其全部开花结果,同一株烟上生产的种子质量相差较大。上述情况是造成我省各良种繁殖单位所生产的种子,
