日本NTT公司通信网第一研究所,正在进行第二代的光通信技术——光波通信技术的研究,目前,已能采用光频分复用技术(光FDM)成功地进行信道间隔为11GHz、传输速率为450Mb/s、传输距离为13km的基本系统的传输实验。光波通信技术的研究是为了能使光波像毫米波、微波那样灵活使用,并促进光通信的速飞发展,目前正以1)光频分复用、2)长间、3)高速率等三个方面进行研究。这次实验,主要是有关光波频分复用的研究。实验表明光波频分复用的信道密度与原来波分复用的信道密度相比提高了20倍以
