The Koolyanobbing mountain range is made up of several layers of strip-shaped iron-framed units surrounded by neutral-ultramafic lava with small amounts of dikes, beds and picritts. The greenstone belt is about 60 km long and about 8 km wide. The area is NW-SE with a tendency of NE and moderate dip. Its southwestern margin is controlled by faults, and the metamorphic volcanics and gneissic granites are arranged in parallel with mylonites. However, the northeastern margin of the boundary is unclear and the transition to the granite wall rock is interrupted by the intrusive rocks and the drape-shaped structures that are connected end to end.
