交际的行为从本质上说是信息的编码和解码的过程,说话人利用常规关系简化显性表述,受话人根据常规关系推理,用隐性表述阐释字面意思。然而在跨文化语境中,人类学取向的常规关系会影响到交际双方对话语的编码和解码过程的差异,一方面由于高低语境文化造成的显性表述中人类学取向的常规关系的空缺,或者由于文化差异引起的隐性表述中人类学取向的常规关系的不对等,导致跨文化交际失误和冲突。
