5 a的引种试验研究表明:桤叶唐棣(Amelanchier alnifolia)在吉林省4月中、下旬-5月上旬萌动;4月下旬-5月中旬展叶;高生长期4月下旬-5月中旬开始,7月上、中旬结束,70 d左右;速生期为5月份;地径生长5月中旬-8月下旬或9月上旬,120-140 d,高峰期6-8月份;开花期10 d左右,一般5月上、中旬开花,中下旬结束;果实期30 d;8月上旬形成顶芽,9月下旬落叶。在吉林省各试验区表现出较强适应性,生长良好,在吉林市松花湖地区,5年生开花结果达100％。Lee3、Northline、Smoky、Thressen 4个品种平均公顷产量、单果质量、单果果径与原产地无显著差异,可以确定其为适宜推广的优良品种,可在吉林-通化半山温凉湿润区、集安岭南温暖湿润区和延边盆地温凉区大量引种栽培建园发展。
