傈僳族的民歌歌词,要求对仗,无论歌词有多长,句句相俪,通篇对仗,既使叙事抒情增添对比映衬的意趣,又使音韵节奏增强匀称和谐的美感。没有对仗,就不成其为傈僳族民歌,如同汉语诗歌别体——对联一样,对联不对仗,就不是对联。可以说对仗是傈僳族民歌,格律的基本形式,也是这种民歌区别于其他民族民歌的一大特点。歌词格律是民歌音乐和语言艺术互相渗透的文学形式,是体现一个民族审美观的一个重要方面。
