Why did both China and the West go hand in hand in an entirely different course in modern history? The article argues that it is the difference between religions that has led to a completely different cognitive style and development preference between Chinese and Westerners, stressing that The major religious difference between China and the West is that Christianity in the West places a greater emphasis on the afterlife, while Chinese religions are largely indifferent to the afterlife. In order to prove that in the poorly-developed local society, in the absence of the concept of the afterlife and the value of its birth, blood ties as an informal link is an optimal choice, but not suitable for a very modern society. In an afterlife culture, formal constraints may be the best choice.
