Objective To study the correlation between low frequency conductive hearing loss and middle ear resonance frequency. Methods Eighty-four participants were enrolled in the study, their resonance frequency was measured and the gold standard test was performed. The ROC curve was used to test the best cut-off point for diagnosis of low-frequency conduction hearing loss. Levene s was used to test the difference in resonance frequency between the low-frequency conduction hearing loss group and the normal hearing group. Results The frequencies of resonant hearing loss and hearing normal group were from different population. The ideal demarcation point is 85 0Hz and 105 0Hz. Resonance frequency between 85 0Hz ~ 105 0Hz is considered normal. When the resonance frequency is less than 85 0 Hz, the performance of conductive hearing loss is verified to be high. When the resonance frequency is more than 105 Hz, the performance of conductive hearing loss is lower. Conclusion When the resonance frequency is less than 85 0 Hz, it can be concluded that there is conductive hearing loss. When the resonance frequency is more than 105 Hz, the test performance is low. This may be related to the resonance frequency affected by many factors. Otolaryngologists and audiologists must be careful when interpreting the results of the resonance frequency when the resonance frequency is higher than 105.0 Hz.
