水域生态环境与人类生活息息相关,通过增殖放流水生生物,修复水域生物链,恢复和保护鱼类资源,以鱼养水、以水养鱼,达到鱼水互养,维护水域生态平衡,是促进北京渔业资源可持续利用和发展的重要举措,也是建设“绿色北京”和谐宜居之都的良好生态支撑。近些年,北京市渔政监督管理和水生野生动植物救护部门一直在为保护北京这一方水域努力着。
