“From Lausanne to Beijing - 2000 Beijing International Fiber Art Exhibition” was grandly opened at Tsinghua University Academy of Fine Arts on October 20, 2000 at 3:00 p.m. Wang Ming-zhi, vice president of Tsinghua University and Dean of the School of Fine Arts of Tsinghua University delivered an opening speech. Many celebrities, representatives of brother colleges and universities, domestic and foreign fiber artists and foreign ambassadors from the capital’s art circles and art theory circles were invited to attend the opening ceremony.
