霍存惠教授,是我国老一辈著名作曲家、教育家、音乐理论家。他虽已93岁高龄,但对于老同事、老朋友、老学生以及印象深的陈年旧事,却仍如数家珍。不能不说,这和他一生辛勤耕耘、含辛茹苦、淡泊名利、高远大度有关。可以这样说:他把他的一生,毫无保留的全部都交给了沈阳音乐学院作曲系;他把他的每滴汗水和心血都豪无保留的浇灌给了他的学生。他爱生如子,学生也敬重称他为“慈父”老师。
