1963年,Merrifield首次利用交联聚苯乙烯作为多肽合成反应的固相支持剂,从而开拓了聚合物试剂这个新的研究领域。二十年来,这方面的工作相当活跃,大部分常见类型的有机功能基都已成功地联结到聚合物骨架上。
In 1963, Merrifield pioneered the new field of polymer reagents using crosslinked polystyrene as the solid phase support for peptide synthesis reactions. The work in this area has been quite active for two decades and most of the common types of organic functional groups have successfully been attached to the polymer backbone.
